Thursday 16th July 2020 was a great moment for ABSA. The Football Foundation came to erect signs at the new grounds. We were delighted that our local MP, Michael Fabricant was in attendance.
This signage marks the Football Foundation’s huge grant of £287,000 against the Phase II project cost of £378,000.
This grant will enable us to complete Phase II which includes two football pitches, ground leveling, drainage, creating access from the highway, car parking, temporary changing facilities, and secure storage.
Huge thanks go to The Football Foundation who provide grants for building or refurbishing grassroots facilities, such as changing pavilions and playing surfaces for community benef
it, with money provided by Premier League, The FA and the Government (via Sport England) and delivered by the Foundation.
