The new sports ground as it is envisaged will be a total community facility for all ages, male and female no matter what their chosen sport is and no matter what standard of play they wish to achieve. Everyone will be made welcome !!
At this stage junior and senior football clubs have been catered for and junior and senior cricket similarly but this is by no means the limit to the aspirations we have. For instance, a suggestion has been made that the Pavilion could be used as a centre for Table Tennis, this is being taken seriously and the incorporation of this is being taken into future plans. Netball and Tennis is another priority and we will work towards it’s provision in the future.

Jubilee Celebration
Friday 3rd June 2022
On Friday 3rd June 2022, during the Queens Platinum Jubilee Weekend, The Lord’s Taverners Celebrity Cricket XI will come to the new Abbots Bromley Sports Ground. The cricket will be followed by ABSA Fest, an evening of live music with bars and street food.
We will be kickstarting the fundraising campaign for a Community Clubhouse and raising funds for local Lord’s Taverner’s projects. This will be a fabulous day of entertainment for our whole community to enjoy!

A drinks reception followed by a 3-course lunch and coffee hosted in a marquee on the site of the new clubhouse where guests will dine with the Lord’s Taverners celebrity cricket team.

T20 Celebrity Cricket Match with Lord’s Taverners
Bring your own chairs and picnic blankets and come and enjoy an entertaining game of cricket. There will be a dedicated bar, street food, afternoon teas and children’s entertainment throughout the afternoon.

ABSA Fest
An evening of musical entertainment in the marquee with bar and street food with headline act ‘The 89’s’ playing the best hits of the 80’s & 90’s.
